What's the difference between marble, granite and quartzite?
Marble offers elegant veining and a softer, classic look, but is more prone to etching. Granite is a hard, durable everyday performer. Quartzite combines natural beauty with excellent scratch and heat resistance.
Does marble stain or etch?
Marble is softer and can etch (dull marks) from acidic spills like citrus, wine or vinegar. Granite and quartzite are harder and more forgiving. Wiping spills promptly helps with any natural stone.
Does natural stone need sealing?
Yes, periodically. Natural stone is porous, so sealing protects it from stains. It's simple to do, and we explain the routine for the stone you choose.
